📊 KultraLab’s High-Performance Framework:​

A global study of 15 retailers, across 156 high-performing store teams and 391,000+ behavioural evidence points, uncovered that the very best teams create six Key Moments which drive the right focus, behaviours and outcomes aligned with brand ethos.


A Key Moment is a focused activity that directly influences team motivation, productivity and performance. For example…

— Morning briefings that energise the team for the day
— Celebration ceremonies in the team to acknowledge success at the end of every week

There are 100s of these Key Moments and they can vary between companies, but the study showed that they can be broken down into 6 categories.

These "Magic Six" Key Moments are underpinned by 25 high-performance behaviours. An example of a high-performance behaviour is something like ‘Communicating with purpose’. This behaviour would manifest during 'Operational Moments' like a slickly-run team huddle or effective monthly planning meeting.

📲 How our app can help a business​

We benchmark an organisation against what we learned in the study. We spot areas that are strong, and areas that can be improved. Organisations can then distribute our app to the managers in their business and start addressing these problem areas. During onboarding, we help users create a work-based Goal, then use our trained AI model to create a Plan to help them achieve it.

📝 Your plan

A users Plan consists of 5 Topics for them to focus on over a period of a few weeks. Each Topic maps to one of our 25 high-performance behaviours. Topics contain a set of Resources - these are guides and strategies that can be used to help users develop these behaviours.

✅ Activating a Topic

Users can pick the Topic they want to work on. Each comes with it's own programme and recommended timeframes. Users are encouraged to make a daily commitment - preferably something that can be linked to a Key Moment

🏃 Coaching Sessions

We check in daily to see how they're getting on, using the daily commitment they made as a nudge. They can then join a Coaching Session where they can journal and reflect on the previous day at work.

📄 Resources

At the end of the session, we suggest a selection of Resources to help them master these behaviours. These can take the form of written articles, audio guides, videos, or Instagram-style stories. They are designed to be memorable, consumed quickly and to appeal to different levels of expertise in order to suit a highly diverse audience. Users can add helpful Resources to a 'Favourites' tab in their Plan area.

🏫 Learning

Users can deviate from their plan, and browse a complete library of 100s of Resources.

📈 Activity

Users can review their progress on an Activity Calendar. The app rewards streaks, and contains achievements that users can unlock and share as their learn how the app works.

🧰 Design System

I created a library of components with accompanying documentation, accessible by the whole company.

✏️ Illustration Library

Together with the awesome Mr Dills, I set-up a fully customisable illustration library. Individual components can be combined to create 1000s of different characters in 1000s of different settings. This can all be done in-house, by non-illustators (like me!).
