Hello! I’m Ed.
I’m a designer who likes to help people make things that are useful, great looking, and simple to use. But preferably all three.
Since the early 2000s, I’ve worked with large agencies, small start-ups and in-house design teams. Clients have ranged from banks and fashion houses to fledgling businesses. Currently heading up the interaction design team at Doctor Care Anywhere.
I get involved in all stages of projects - from idea generation, to drawing initial wireframes, developing UI design systems and prototypes, right through to launch and ongoing development. I’m a big believer in the importance of simple details in digital products - a piece of typography, an animation, an icon - and like to take a hands on approach in perfecting them. I'm trying to write a little bit about it all too.
I built this site myself (with assistance from SuperHi, Lottie and a nice typeface from here). Only 6 case studies? Yeah. I've attempted to keep it as concise as possible. Here’s some bits from the archive, but that’s yer lot.
